Yesterday we received the following letter in the mail, claiming that we had won 2 complimentary round trip tickets.
After a quick Google search, I found that “US Airlines” is not a real company, and it only sounds real because of US Airways. I also learned that MANY other people have received this letter too.
Apparently, when you call the number to claim your “tickets” your number is immediately sold to other companies. And we all know that would be hell on earth.
I wanted to alert some people about this scam, because it seems like it was tried last year in April, but it died down. Here it is again :(
If you or someone you know has recieved this letter, DO NOT RESPOND. And as a general rule, if it seems too good to be true, it probably is.
I just can’t understand how they got my name and address in the first place. :|
